Firecracker 250 Team Endurance Race

       Hobby Central is proud to present our second 250 Lap Team Endurance Race on September 4th, 2004.  This will be our second team/endurance event, the last one we held on July 4th weekend was a great success.    It will be held on a Saturday afternoon/evening and will be followed on Sunday by our second trophy race this year.  It will be a touring/road course event.  Teams will be comprised of  3 members (If you want to race and can't form a 3 man team, signup and we will try to put together adhoc teams).

 

 

Rules:

  1. Any 190mm-200mm (with the exception of HPI or Kyosho Supers) nitro or electric touring car (each team can run between 1 and 3 cars).  Engines can be .12-.18 small block nitro or modified electric (any number of turns).  Any 6 cell battery pack for electric cars.  A team can use a mix of electric and nitro cars if desired.  But, the cars for each team will be teched before and after the races and only the 3 cars entered at the beginning of the race may be used.  In other words, if one of your cars is knocked out of the race, you can only use the remaining 1 or 2 cars that you have left, you cannot use a spare car.  No 235mm or 1/8 cars.  HPI and Kyosho Super Touring cars will be allowed with a small block engine only.  Drivers can share cars.

  2. Any body,.

  3. A horn will sound every 15 minutes at which time all teams must switch out drivers.  No driver can drive more than 15 consecutive minutes.

  4. Each team will provide a spotter (one of the 3 members)

  5. No repairs or refueling on the track, all repairs or refueling must be done in the pit area, spotters cannot work on or refuel cars.

  6. The race will end when the first team accumulates 250 laps (this should be around 90 minutes of racing).

  7. Fuel guns are allowed.  No fueling horn will be sounded, the pit person should track time on the track for their team.

  8. The will be no qualifiers. 

  9. Any protests must be presented in writing, describing the protest and who the protest is against.  $20 must be presented along with the protest and if the protest is considered to be unfounded, will be forfeited to the team that was protested. 

  10. All normal Hobby Central rules apply, all decisions by the race director are final.
